Sani Garba is the Chief Executive Officer of Sani Garba Consulting (SGC) a consulting organization anchored on experiences the owner gained as Director of Finance & Accounts in the Federal Ministry of Finance, Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation and at various Ministries and Agencies. He was the pioneer Project Coordinator of the Assets Tracking & Management Project (ATMProject) that developed and deployed the first-ever central and unified digital Fixed Assets Register for the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Before he entered the mainstream public service, Sani Garba served as Bursar in tertiary institutions including the University of Abuja, Federal College of Education (Technical) and the Usmanu Danfodio University Sokoto (Deputy Bursar). He adopted productivity tools to design, develop and implement simple but practical and efficient solutions for Budget Preparation and Implementation, Revenue Monitoring and pioneered the setting up of the first online Students’ Registration portal.

Sani Garba served in various positions of strategic policy development and implementation, including as secretary of the fiscal policy committee that developed the first national fiscal regime for the Nigerian Mineral Sector. He served as a non-Executive Director of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC), among other professional and official national assignments.

In a career-changing move, supported by his passion for digital technology, Sani Garba acquired digital skills and currently holds a Diploma and various Certificates that showcase his skills in Project Management, Financial Modeling and Data Transformation, Modeling and Visualization using Microsoft Excel and Power BI, the leading tools for creating insightful perspectives and understanding of business logic to predict outcomes and proactively prescribe remedies. SGC is an accredited member of the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) and authorised Microsoft Solution Provider that is affiliated to the Cloud Service Provider (CSP) for Africa and the Middle East, to offer and deploy Microsoft cloud and on-premises computing services and products.

Sani Garba holds an MBA and a degree in Accounting. He was a Lecturer in Accounting and Auditing; these qualifications have empowered him to deliver physical and online lectures at seminars and webinars, particularly on digital transformation. Among several memberships, he is a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (FCNA), a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) and a licensed practitioner as a Chartered Management Consultant (CMC).
